Check your deck for deterioration
Consumers should check their Veranda, WeatherBest or ABTCo decking materials for visible cracks or deterioration on the surface, and /or chipping of the surface layers.
Examples of premature deterioration:

HOW TO IDENTIFY THESE PRODUCTS
WeatherBest, Veranda and ABTCo decking and railing are composite products that look similar to natural wood and are sold in several different colors including Driftwood Grey, Pacific Cedar, Tuscan Walnut, Western Redwood, Chestnut and Greystone.
WeatherBest products manufactured by the new owners of the Meridian plant after November 2007 are NOT subject to this recall and are distinguishable by a kerf or groove cut into the side of each deck board, along the complete length of the board.

Only products manufactured at LP’s Meridian plant are subject to this recall.
To identify products subject to recall, look for tags at the end of boards or stamps on the board.

If you believe you have one of these products, but no longer have tags, your product invoice will help LP Decking Customer Service assist you in identifying the product.
LP encourages all deck owners who may have these decking products to register with LP Decking Customer Service to arrange for an inspection by calling 1 (888) 325-1184.
